Mendoza is primarily a self taught
artist who has taken art studies with the master, Jose
Samano. He is an alumnus of El Taller de Grafica
Poplar. Since 1971 he has exhibited extensively in
Mexico. Some of his paintings can be found in banks,
universities, cultural centers, and private collections.
Several of his larger pieces are part of different hotel
collections. His work reflects the subtleties of light and
shadow, the wonder of architecture at it's simplest, the beauty of
a doorway imbued by the magic of sunlight.
