Description of Gallery: Magnum Opus Gallery is a fine arts Gallery located in Chadds Ford, PA. Magnum Opus is in its seventh year of operations and deals in contemporary art in all mediums including but not limited to Oils, Acrylics, Pastels, Inks, Sculpting and fabrics. Magnum Opus’s credo is “ While you appreciate art, art appreciates for you” The gallery believes in art for arts sake but they also understand art to be an investment with a future of accrued financial interest.

Spring Xtreme:
The broad theme of “Spring Extreme Show” encompasses all the possibilities of knowledge and freedom and love of Extreme Sports. The shows main focus is to capture the essence of these sports and activities outside of literal interpretations. The artist should attempt to examine their relationship, experience or respective love of these sports activities with the use of portraits or characatures or literal settings to do so. What does it really indicate? This juried show looks to explore the idea of “Extreme Sports” in all the hidden niches of our collective psyche; and the minds ability to convert that experience into abstract art.
ELIGIBILITY:
This call for submission is open to all residents of the U.S. and its Territories 18 years of age or older. This is a juried exhibition for artists working in all traditional and non-traditional 2D and 3D media, except for film/video. All artwork must be original in concept, design and execution. Note: Crafts, kit work or reproductions after original works in other media (such as giclee), unless used as part of a mixed media work, will not be considered. No work done in class or under supervision is eligible.
Oversize Work, Assemblages and Installations are welcome at the discretion of Magnum Opus Gallery, but must meet all other specifications and be delivered, installed and removed by the artist (or their agent) upon arrangement with the Magnum Opus Gallery Team.
JUDGING:
Final judging will be on-site. Entries that differ significantly from their digital images may be rejected. Decision of the judges is final.
SUBMISSIONS AND FEES:
Final submission (April 21): $25.00 for up to five (5) images plus $5.00 for each additional image.
All submissions must turned in during this
period. All entries must be registered/received by midnight, April 21,
2011. Entry fees are non-refundable.
Only original works may be submitted. They must be in a .jpg or PDF file format, online (via Paypal) Springextreme Entry, To pay by check or money order may checks payable to Joshua Stone Productions. Mail entries to the folowing adress:

Checks should be made payable to Joshua Stone Productions.
Slides or photographs on DVD. DVD’s will not be returned. Work may be submitted in one or multiple media.
Online Entry is recommended, mailed DVD entries are charged an extra $15 uploading fee. All entry fees are non-refundable.
Application:
All entrants must submit full descriptions of art work (size, medium, title etc.) at Springextreme Entry, Also applicants should include in in the body of the email their full contact information (Address, phone number & email address).

Awards
There will be prize packages for: Best In Show, Runner Up & Crowd Favorite totaling over $1000 dollars in awards.
CERTIFICATES:
Certificates will be awarded in the following categories: Painting: Most Visceral depiction, Sharpest eye; Extreme Graphic media, Sickest Graph, Most Computer-aided and Most Traditional.
Images: Submit up to five (5) high-resolution digital images (300dpi, no larger than 1200 x 1800
pixels). All image file names must list the artist Full name, title of work, size of work and medium used.
Work Size:
All paintings must not exceed 84” x 84”.
Finalists are required to submit an artist’s statement, resume and 10-15 additional digital images of available work.
Receiving and Removal of Work:
Work may be delivered by hand or shipped. No COD in-bound shipments will be accepted. Return packaging is required and a check made payable to: Joshua Stone Productions. or include pre-payment to cover all return shipping expenses.
LATE ARRIVAL AND RETURNS:
Joshua Stone Productions reserves the right to reject and return work that is late, is deemed unstable upon arrival, is not properly presented, or differs from the submitted digital image. Returns will be solely at the artist’s expense.
SALES, COMMISSIONS AND DELIVERY:
Magnum Opus Gallery will retain a 33% commission on all exhibition sales. The price represented on the artist entry form will be the sale price. No changes will be allowed. Sold works will remain until the end of the exhibition. All arrangements for shipping of works greater than 30” x 30” x 6” to buyers will be the sole responsibility of the artist. Magnum Opus Gallery will ship and pack smaller works at the expense of the buyer.
LIABILITY:
Joshua Stone Productions / Magnum Opus Gallery is not responsible for any damage, breakage, replacement or cost associated with any damage or breakage that may have occurred during transport or unpacking. Every precaution will be taken in handling the entries, but Joshua Stone Productions / Magnum Opus Gallery assumes no liability for any loss or damage to any artist’s work while in our care, custody or control, before, during or after the exhibition. Each artist, if they wish, needs to provide their own insurance.
USE OF IMAGES:
Any image submitted may be used for marketing and promotional purposes directly related to this show. This use may include publication in any publications, printed materials, advertisements, or electronic media. Copyright and all other rights remain that of the artist.

ENTRY AGREEMENT:
